I’ll say this about the Virtual Reality Tour. It was one of the most intense, disturbing — and ultimately, enlightening — eight minutes I’ve ever spent.
Each person experiences cognitive impairment differently, and only you can know what it’s like for you. But a simulated dementia experience can give medical professionals and family members some sense of what it might be like, encouraging great empathy, patience and support. In today’s video, I share the impact it had on me.
